Strawberry Santas are a festive and delightful holiday treat made with fresh strawberries, whipped cream cheese filling, and decorative icing to create adorable Santa faces. Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Carefully wash the strawberries. Cut off the stems to create a flat base so they can stand upright. Slice each strawberry into three pieces: keep enough of the top intact to serve as the Santa hat, and cut the middle section for the body.
  2. Make Filling: In a small mixing bowl, combine the whipped cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Fill Piping Bag: Spoon the cream cheese mixture into a piping bag fitted with a small round tip for controlled decorating.
  4. Assemble Santa Body: Place the bottom half of the strawberry on a serving plate. Pipe a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture on top, building enough height to support the hat and create a fluffy beard look.
  5. Add Santa Hat: Position the top piece of the strawberry as the Santa hat above the cream cheese body. Use the piping bag to pipe a white ‘pom-pom’ and trim on the hat from the cream cheese filling.
  6. Decorate Face: Using the red icing, enhance the hat if needed, then use black icing to carefully draw the eyes and mouth on the cream cheese area to bring Santa to life.
  7. Serve or Store: Serve the Strawberry Santas immediately for best texture, or refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to enjoy, ideally within 1-2 days.
