Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 20 oz Mini Marshmallows
  • 4 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups Gumdrops

Instructions

  1. Melting the Base: In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and mini marshmallows. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir the mixture. Microwave again for 1 more minute, then stir until the butter and marshmallows are fully combined into a smooth mixture.
  2. Adding White Chocolate: Add the white chocolate chips to the melted butter and marshmallow mixture. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue to microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring occasionally until the texture becomes smooth and sticky.
  3. Mixing Gumdrops: Fold the gumdrops into the smooth sticky mixture and stir until they are well distributed throughout the nougat.
  4. Setting the Candy: Prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper and greasing it with cooking spray. Make sure the parchment paper overhangs on the sides for easy removal later.
  5. Shaping: Pour the nougat mixture into the prepared pan. Place another sheet of parchment paper on top and spread the mixture evenly using your hands.
  6. Chilling: Refrigerate the mixture for several hours or overnight until fully set.
  7. Cutting and Serving: Once set, remove the nougat from the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Peel off the parchment and cut the jelly nougat into small, bite-sized pieces.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper hanging over the pan edges to easily lift out the candy once set.
  • For best texture, ensure gumdrops are well mixed in for even distribution.
  • Store nougat in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
  • Microwave times may vary depending on equipment—watch carefully to avoid scorching.
  • Customize by using different colored or flavored gumdrops as desired.
