Scale

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 tbsp cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Puff Pastry: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into approximately 12 small squares, about 2 to 3 inches each.
  2. Assemble the Brie Bites: Place a cube of Brie cheese in the center of each puff pastry square. Add about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of the Brie.
  3. Shape and Seal: Fold the corners or edges of the puff pastry squares up over the filling, gently pressing to seal but leaving some cheese exposed if desired for aesthetic.
  4. Bake the Bites: Arrange the prepared pastry bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed, and the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve Warm: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. These bites are best enjoyed warm when the Brie is soft and gooey.

Notes

  • Make sure the puff pastry is fully thawed and cold before cutting and assembling for best puffing results.
  • For extra flavor, add a small fresh herb leaf, such as thyme or rosemary, on top of the cranberry sauce before baking.
  • Can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Serve with extra cranberry sauce or honey for dipping.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the puff pastry cleanly.
