Brownie Base

Ice Cream Layers

  • 2 pints ice cream flavors of choice

  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • Pieces of remaining brownies (from trimming)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Brownies: Preheat the oven and prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan and bake as instructed until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  2. Cool and Cut: Allow the brownies to cool completely. Using a 6 inch round cutter, cut out two circles from the brownie slab. Reserve any remaining brownie pieces for topping.
  3. Assemble First Layer: Place one brownie circle into the bottom of a 6 inch springform pan. Spread one pint of your chosen ice cream evenly over the brownie layer.
  4. Assemble Second Layer: Top the ice cream with the second brownie circle, then spread the remaining pint of ice cream over the top.
  5. Freeze to Harden: Cover the assembled dessert tightly with plastic wrap. Place it in the freezer for several hours or overnight until fully hardened.
  6. Serve: Remove from freezer about 5 minutes before serving to allow to soften slightly. Unmold from springform pan, top with hot fudge sauce and scatter pieces of the remaining brownies on top for extra texture and flavor.
