Delicious and easy Air Fryer Salmon Tacos featuring perfectly cooked salmon fillets seasoned with chili powder, garlic, and smoked paprika. Served with a refreshing cabbage slaw made with Greek yogurt and lime juice, all wrapped in warm corn tortillas for a healthy and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 4 oz each), skinless
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Slaw

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (red or green)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Additional

  • 8 small corn tortillas

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for cooking the salmon evenly.
  2. Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Brush this spice mixture evenly over each salmon fillet to infuse flavor.
  3. Cook the Salmon: Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overlap. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until the salmon is thoroughly cooked and easily flakes with a fork.
  4. Make the Slaw: While the salmon cooks, mix shredded cabbage, chopped cilantro, Greek yogurt, and lime juice in a bowl. Toss well to create a tangy, creamy slaw that complements the rich salmon.
  5. Warm the Tortillas: Heat the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat or warm them in the microwave until soft and pliable, making them easier to fold and eat.
  6. Assemble the Tacos: Flake the cooked salmon into large pieces. Divide the salmon evenly among the tortillas and top each with a generous portion of the cabbage slaw. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Ensure salmon fillets are about the same thickness for even cooking.
  • You can substitute Greek yogurt with sour cream if preferred.
  • Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor in the slaw.
  • Add sliced avocado or a dash of hot sauce for extra richness and spice.
  • If you don’t have an air fryer, salmon can be baked in a 400°F oven for 12-15 minutes.
